Diving Sea
The Riviera Maya, the second largest barrier reef in the world, is an ideal place to learn or snorkeling sous marine. En effet, son récif se développe de Cabo Catoche, situé à environ 50 kilomètres (30 miles) au nord de Cancun, jusqu'à la baie des iles du Honduras, située pour sa part à environ 450 kilomètres (280 miles) au sud de Playa del Carmen. Au fonds de ces magnifiques eaux turquoises, le plongeur peut ainsi découvrir plus de 500 variétés marines comme des poissons tropicaux aux couleurs incroyables, des éponges ou des gorgones ou encore de nombreuses tortues de mer. La partie du récif de la côte mexicaine s'étend sur plus de 300 kilomètres (180 miles) et les spots can reach a depth of 30 meters (100 feet). Moreover, all sites are not yet explored.

It can dive into shallow water and then end up in the abyss of more than 800 feet.
This island, whose main town is San Miguel, extends 48 km from north to south and 16 kilometers from east to west. It is located only 20 kilometers from the mainland and 80 kilometers from Cancun. Palancar, 5 miles long, has beautiful coral formations in horseshoes and many caves. Insiders see it as one of the best diving in the world.
Santa Rosa is one of the most impressive walls of Cozumel, with its numerous caves, tunnels white sandy bottoms and huge sponges.
A Paso del Cedral, diving is shallow but it is a very fishy place where you can see multitudes of fish schools of all kinds, huge groupers, morays green more 1.5 meters long. The cenotes
But what is impressive is to dive in the cenotes. The cenotes are geological formations typical of the region corresponding to the Riviera Maya caves carved into the limestone and the roof of which collapsed forming of natural sinks. These cavities are considered by the Mayans as sacred places, give a taste of cave diving in crystal clear warm waters and which draws a breathtaking backdrop of stalactites and stalagmites. Dos Ojos, meaning "Two Eyes", became famous in the world of diving because of the cenote cave is considered the longest and most decorated caves of the underwater world. It is a labyrinth of caves accessible by two large lakes for two eyes. There are many underwater decorations.
Located south of Akumal, Chemuyil is a small Mayan village housed many residents working in the town of Akumal. The cenote, off the beaten track is quite small but is nestled in a lush jungle.
